Alpha Pistol Training

Course Description: 4 hours
This is an entry level course designed for any lawfully armed citizen. The course will provide participants with principles and skills necessary to properly utilize a shotgun in a defensive situation within their home and on their property. There are no prerequisites for the course, but participants are encouraged to have a basic knowledge of the workings of their chosen shotgun*, and an overall knowledge of firearm safety.
Topics covered will include:
• Safety and general home security
• Legal issues and considerations for self defense
• Linking up with law enforcement
• General workings of a variety of shotguns
• Basic marksmanship and weapon manipulation
• Transition drills to handgun

(For those registered, there will be HOMEWORK PRIOR TO THE CLASS, and it will open your eyes to the capabilities of the shotgun.)

Requirements:
• Shoulder fired shotgun (full stock, no “pistol grip-only”)
• A sling is required on the gun
• Handgun with OWB holster
• Hearing and eye protection, and a hat is suggested
• Water/snacks/personal items/folding chair

Ammunition Package is included in pricing**:
• 25 rounds – Buckshot/various types
• 10 rounds – Slug/various types
• 50 rounds - Target Load
• 50 rounds Handgun ammunition
• Any additional buckshot ammunition to be provided by participant
** We have selected 135 rounds of various types of high quality 12ga ammunition for this class that can be used for personal defense. This will give you an idea what to expect from different choices of ammunition.
* We have shotguns for rent for $25.00. Rental can be applied towards purchase of a home defense shotgun the day of the class. Course Fee: $300.00
